to create my pictures for this stage I used long exposures, to do this the shutter speed timings on the camera were adjusted to create the long  exposures. 

 

Shutter speed
This is the speed at which the shutter of the camera closes, this affects the amount of light that the camera lets into the photograph, this is also known as exposure. A fast shutter speed creates shorter exposures, and a slower shutter speed creates a much more longer exposure. This is one of the three elements that is used to control the exposure on the camera.
